I couldn’t help but take this snapshot from Minami-ke Okawari. It’s the last episode, so this is the promised discussion/review of the series as a whole. There was another particular episode that I thought was very interesting from the Makoto/Mako-chan aspect, as they were cleaning the town. He/She ran across some very interesting outfits that I thought would be very good in my collection. The screenshots, as well as my review of the series as a whole are below the cut. If you haven’t seen the series yet, I urge you to do so, because as with other blogs, this will be major spoilers for reals.

Sometimes I just don’t want to. Sometimes I’m just pre-occupied. Other times I guess I’m just lazy.

Though I’ll tell you right now I have a lot of anime to finish and catch up on. I’m aware of the new shows that are airing at this moment, and let me tell you that a few are on my plan to watch list. Meaning, they’re in que to download this moment, but I have others ahead of them.

I have about ten plus blog entries planned. This being one of them, I suppose. Or zero, whichever way you want to look at it. Just so you will believe me, here is the list of topics I have in mind for my future posts:

  1. Yugioh 5Ds Episodes 1-6.
  2. Review of Rosario + Vampire season 1
  3. Review of Minami-ke Okawari!
  4. Discussion of Kurohime up to Volume 2.
  5. Discussion of Kim Harrison’s series starring Rachel Morgan, as I am reading A Fistful of Charms at the moment. I’m about halfway through with it. My first official statement is that it feels as if I’m reading anime. That’s how absorbed in the series and characters I am.
  6. Discussion of .hack//Sign, simply because I’ve begun to play .hack//Infection. My gaming blogs will be found at www.thefinalfantasy.net when it becomes properly sorted and configured.

I’ve also seen Yugioh 5Ds episode 7 recently, but that was a RAW and was bad quality. So I could only guess most of the duel, but for the plot development in that episode, I am utterly clueless and am waiting for it to be subtitled so that I may properly blog it.

I’ll also be talking about the Ragnarok manga, as I’ve read 3 volumes of it so far, and I am almost finished with Suikoden III manga. I need volume 11 to arrive from the mail and then read it to complete the series. Although I’ve beaten the game a long time ago, the manga is very interesting and I love reading it. There isn’t going to be a cut in this entry, because it’s obviously not going to be very long. As a matter of fact, it’s almost finished anyway. The next entry I’ll be working on is Minami-ke Okawari since that is the most fresh in my mind.

From my last entry to this one, I have been distracted by a few things. World of Warcraft, Starcraft, .hack//Infection, Melty Blood: Act Cadenza, and also a job I have at a public library that doesn’t give me as much free time as I used to have. Oh.. there was also Smash Bros. Brawl. So if any of you out there want my friend code, let me know.

And also, if any of you are unaware, ProtonJon and Azure are having a Live ustream event in about 2 hours from now. They’ll be playing Brawl, Mario Kart, and other games. Feel free to check it out. I’ll be there myself, actually. …Not playing, mind you. Just chatting in the chatroom. Check out the details here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=nEltoPEqhG0

Until Next Time~

You may be wondering why I’m not starting from the first episode. With long series such as this, it would indeed create tons of entries and content. But I assume the people who are like me and enjoy the Yugioh series, have already watched up to 179. I’m downloading the finale raw as we speak. Yes, I’m that desperate to finish the series. Besides, it’s a duel, I can pretty much understand 80% of the dialog, and for the rest, I can guess what’s being said. I’ll probably watch the sub when it’s released later. I know FOX network is showing Yugioh GX in season 3 right now, where Judai/Jaden has become more serious in dueling because they were transported to a world where lives are at stake during a duel. Kind of like the good ol’ Shadow Games, except you die when your life reaches zero.

I’ve just finished watching the RAW as I type this sentence, so if you want to see my commentary on the episode, and screenshots I took, click past the cut…

Ah, a new series to be watched. In case you haven’t noticed the big title, this is Sayonara Zetsubo Sensei, aka “So long, Mr. Despair”. The first episode starts off innocently enough with the first main girl we meet walking down the sidewalk toward her school for the first day. On the way there, she sees… Oh no! Someone is hanging himself! She dramatically glomps him and exclaims for him not to do it! Especially on such a wonderful day. Pink Gabriel wouldn’t forgive him. (That would be a name she made up on the spot for one of the sakura trees. Sad, I know.) Eventually the rope breaks and he is set free. They talk for a while. We discover their personalities, and that the girl is very optimistic and only sees things in a positive light, while on the other hand, he’s pessimistic. They really should have never met, but they did. Ah well, couldn’t be helped.

The day moves on to the school period, and we find out that Mr. Pessimistic is also the teacher of the homeroom, and oh what else, Ms. Optimistic is a student in his class. How wonderful. The other cast of girls (and one guy) get introduced, and the teacher gets dubbed “Zetsubo Sensei”, because that is his name written horizontally. A lot of comedy ensues in different variations, and there is even an onsen scene in the classroom… who knows how or why an onsen is inside the classroom. It’s probably a daydream by one of the girl students, if I remember correctly. The funny thing is during this scene, boobs and ass is censored by a guy’s head. I assume he’s the manga-ka of Zetsubo-sensei. We see all of the stereotypes here in class. A girl who never talks but communicates through texting on her cellphone, a guy who has no presence at all, an anal-retentive girl who has nice looks. I can tell the series will become funnier as the time goes on, and I will enjoy it more and more. I know, this entry isn’t very long. Can only say so much about an episode.

The bottom line is that I recommend this series to anyone who loves Humor, and who has seen Pani Poni Dash, along with Azumanga Daioh.

Until Next Time~!

Aww, a newborn blog has debuted. Isn’t it cute? (Yes indeed, folks. That is a digimon. Reremon’s the name.) And as I’m sure you’ve read from the About page, this blog will hold my writings in progress, as well as episode commentaries of anime, etc. I feel that this picture accurately represents the very first post of the blog because it is the first baby stage of the lovely Renamon. I’m sure we’ve all seen Renamon ecchi pictures in some parts of our lives. Though this is my favorite image of her. I could show something more ecchi, but that’d be breaking the rules of my host, so I apologize.

But anyway, my next entry will be Sayonara Zetsubo Sensei episode 1, as I have just seen that earlier tonight and captured a few screenshots for it. I’m currently putting together my thoughts of the episode, and picking out my favorite moments, so that I may have something to discuss with you readers. By all means, this is a theme I’ve used in my past blog, as I have not found something better. If any of you find a really good theme where I can use a header banner like the one above, that would be great.

During the past few weeks/month, I’ve been rewatching the Digimon series from the beginning, because I’ve found some Japanese episodes; and I must say that the original does not disappoint, and has revealed a few scenes and dialog that was obviously removed from the Bandai USA version. It was a lot more intelligent and serious overall, when the dubbed was portrayed in a goofy way and dumbed down for kids. Which was fine, I guess… but I will always prefer the original. Even the third season (Tamers, which I’ve just started watching a few days ago) has some interesting dialog. The endings for the first and second seasons were very touching though. Back then when I saw it on TV, I don’t think I cried at all when I was younger. But now I felt emotional at certain scenes. I guess it’s the ever growing woman in me. If you want to see some spoilers, read past the cut. If anyone has never seen Digimon and wants to, then refrain from doing so unless you don’t care about spoilers.
